Under the Prevention of corruption act,A bribe giver being a non public servant would be prosecuted,while the person recieving the bribe,being a public servant,could not be prosecuted for want of sanction.This is a clear violation of article 14 of the constitution,equality before law. as it creates a classification which has no reasonable nexus with the object of the act.
In the recent instance ,the Governor of U.P,did not accord sanction to prosecute the incumbent Chief Minister of UP ,Mayavati,for acts of corruption,Now the U.P Governors action has come under the scruitny of the supreme court ,which had issued notices,to the central and the State Govts.The case pertains to corruption charges against Mayavati,about construction shopping mall adjacent to Taj mahal,when she was in power last time.
Section 19,of the prevention of corruptionact requires the grant of sanction by the competent authority to prosecute a public servant.Now its questionable why,this condition was enacted.Was it to prevent the corrupt elements being prosecuted.And the U.P Governors role in the present context appears as political considerations than any thing else.Isnt it time section 19 ,which is used to harbour the culprits is totaly removed from Prevention of corruption act.And expose the culprits.

I m forced into writing this ,because of the reasons best known to me,which i want to share with fellow citizens,when you look at a manufacturing unit as an outsider,you always wonder ,as to how many crores should have gone into setting up the unit,how much of hurdles should the unit have faced before it became a reality,how much of red tape to be cut,before one gets the clearences from the various agencies that are responsible to give the requisite clearences before it became a reality.But what goes on inside.
Theres plenty of politics inside.Only you were never aware.You always thought from outside as a lay man,that every thing is in fine fettle taking the country to the next century.To make it a global leader.Had you only aware of undercurrents that was there.There is a running battle between the man who heads the production ,and the man who heads the quality control.The production man always thinks what business its for the Quality control man to reject the product he had taken so much time to produce.Its he who brings the bread for others to share.Thats the view of the man producing,But the quality controller wants to say he too has a job to do.And its his preogrative to reject.This fight most of the time leads to sub standard products being marketed with ultimately the consumer loosing out.Wish there s a better understanding whereby a compromise is arrived so we the outsider get a product that is reasonably goo and at a cost thats affordable,without the benefit of shahrukh khan or sania mirza endorsing the product.Most of the time when a product is advertised by top brands,you find you are forced to shell out 30% more.this is the reality.Am sure most of you will agree with my views.Those who are not agreeable are free to air their views along with in the column provided free by Citizenxpress.com.

If four of the senior most Cabinets ministers in the ruling Minority congress Party headed by the right Honourable Soniaji,were keen to aspire for the post of President of the country,the Question that many of you would have missed,just like me,what it portends for the congress party,come 2009 Elections to the parliment.This question was inspired by reading the article of Mr.Shekar gupta in Indian express of 23 june 2007.These four senior ministers must have felt ,that presidencey gave them a cocoon ,where they would be safe irrespective of what happens to the party they represent,come 2009,when parliment elections are due,they would not be affected by the out come and would continue to be in power till 2011,was it the only motivation that made them throw their hats in the ring.These are some of crucial issues to be pondered by citizens.
Its not alone the aspirants for presidential post,have feeling that as many more would be opting for vice presidential nominations/or the Governorship coming due in the months head,who dont see a bright future for the congress post 2009,and would like to spend the next couple of years ensconced in better offices than what they are holding.Dont ask me what happens to Congress Presidents post.There wouldnt be any takers for the same.

A minority Govt in the state of Jammu and Kashmir,headed by Mrs.Soniaji loyalist,who succumbed to the pressures of allies,forced the central Minority Govt of Dr.Manmohan singh to cut the tropp strength in J&k.This has created a problem now to the Govt.Everybody knows.we have a very unfriendly neighbour,who wants to rake up the issue of J&K as and when he faces turbulence,which makes our life miserable.This is becoming one mistake too many by the minority Centre.At whose Cost,The country has already paid a dear price,to retain the state of J&K within the union of India.And the state has no interest in repaying the liabilities that it had created to the union of India.Why our finance minister is keeping silent ,about recovering the dues from the state of J&K.If kashmiris think its bound on duty,let them go and find another sucker.Its high time the Cost of defending the state from foreign incursions/as well as maintaining the peace in state is realised from a state that hasd not contributed to the growth of the country in any way.When it has become such a liability why not liquidate the stae as non performing asset of any one of the nationalised banks.Why the sentiment and emotion.Take a decision like a businessman.Because the state had not treated you differently.Sell off all the assets to realise the dues of the State.Rather than continue this adventure.Off late it appears more people are crossing over into indian side to create problems for the indian Administrators.Isnt it time we said enough is enough.Wish more citizens join the debate.
